Hello Kangaroo!

Finished all the reading I was meant to do this week. Very productive day overall. I actually spent time in the library. I don't know that I was any more productive there than I would have been anywhere else, but the people watching was certainly better! I am in no way ashamed to admit that I am an avid people watcher. It's very culturally enlightening, to be honest.

I also thoroughly enjoy spending the better part of my Fridays with James. Typically, we have a scheduled lunch together, but today we spent the afternoon in the library, at which point he gave me one of his homemade brownies, followed by a walk over to Jannetta's for ice cream, and then to the grocery store to battle the long lines together. If you've got to wait in line for ages, might as well have a friend along.

And on that note, I have some really great friends, and I can't say it enough. Both here and back home. This week started out pretty low, but in the past couple days, things have really turned around. Whether it's my friends here, like James or Matt or Sarah, who will share endless laughs and humor my craziness, or my friends at home who will chat with me late into the night (late my time anyway...) and know exactly how to make me feel better. I am so lucky to know so many truly wonderful people. (Awwwww)
