Raisin Weekend!

This weekend was so epic that I feel like I'm still recovering, mostly because I don't think I slept at all the entire weekend, and then add in all the excitement...Basically, Raisin Weekend is this massive tradition at St Andrews, the Student Association put together this nifty guide to let everyone know what they're meant to do: http://www.yourunion.net/raisin. I was adopted yet again. And this time, there was no icky sinus infection to get in the way of tradition. Sunday rolled around and I went to my academic parents' house to start the party very early in the afternoon, continuing well into the night. Craziness and ridiculousness definitely ensued. Unfortunately, I did have to miss out on the foam fight Monday morning as I had a meeting, but I saw some pretty awesome costumes and raisin receipts as I walked down the streets through town.

After my meeting on Monday, I really did try to get some work done, but it was useless. I was just so tired! So I gave up for the day, went home, and basically passed out sometime in the early evening? I was so tired, I couldn't even bring myself to eat ice cream. And after more than 11 hours of sleep, I was still exhausted on Tuesday, though slightly more productive. I have written seven pages between yesterday and today, which I'd say is pretty good. I've still got another page or two to write for tonight and email my supervisor asap, but I think that's definitely doable. So despite two completely unproductive days, I have been extremely productive considering...

Thanksgiving tomorrow. Weird to think it's just a normal day here. But I am going out to dinner and Harry Potter with James, so I guess it'll be special, at least! And this weekend, my house is having Thanksgiving dinner, on Sunday..

And I can't get Charlie Brown out of my head: "Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter like unrequited love." I don't really know what's occurring in my life anymore. But I think I need a vacation...
