Nine Down, One to Go

It is unbelievably anticlimactic to submit med school applications by pressing a little button on the computer screen. For some reason, it is just so much more gratifying sealing an envelope and dropping it in the post (granted slightly more nerve-racking and less reliable). For the amount of effort that goes into it, and the difference it could make in the future, one click of a button seems to hold so much weight, but when you actually press it all that happens is you see a screen that says "Submitted" and receive a confirmation email with the same. I don't know, it leaves me feeling a little empty and a lot anxious. Anyway, with a click of a button I have just finished my second to last application, only one more left...and then I can play the waiting game for the next few months, what fun!

Last night, I ended up sitting in my room watching 'The Inbetweeners' for hours before falling asleep in the middle of an episode. My flatmates have been talking about this show at dinner lately, so I decided to watch a little to see what it was all about. Basically, its a British sitcom that follows these four teenage guys at a public school just outside London. They generally get themselves into incredibly awkward embarrassing ridiculous situations that make you cringe as you burst out in laughter at the same time...oddly addicting.

And today I will go to Jannetta's for the first time this year! Cannot wait, I'm surprised I held out this long. I would live across the street from a gelateria. Also, I bought two packs of Thornton's mini caramel shortcake squares this weekend, one for the family dinner party and then an extra (they were on sale at Tesco!)...I have already caved and opened the second pack...must have self-control....at least I didn't finish the pack all in one go this time! (Would have been a major error, speaking from experience.)
